This book is simply magical. Starting with the beautiful illustrations to the wonderful story! It conveys that there is not only a visible sparkle, but also a sparkle in our hearts. Namely, when we spend the time together with our loved ones! An absolute reading recommendation for the Christmas season!

The book is a magical continuation of the successful picture book “The Light in the Night”. The impressive illustrations in this book are as magical as the loving story itself and capture the winter atmosphere perfectly. The sparkling lights, the glittering snowflakes and the lovingly designed characters immediately captivate young readers. The story is full of warmth and teaches children that in winter, despite the darkness and cold, there are still many wonders to discover, especially when you spend time with your loved ones. The message that the sparkle can be found not only on the Christmas tree, but also in people’s hearts, is extremely touching and instructive. The child-friendly language of the book makes it easy to understand. The heartwarming dialogues between Bo and Emma convey important values such as friendship, cohesion and the joy of discovery. This book will undoubtedly make children’s eyes sparkle.

This book brings together, for me, all the good ingredients of a perfect story on the Christmas theme. Indeed, there is everything that makes the good spirit and the “magic” of Christmas, the one that is supposed to bring people together to share a good time. I also really like Marie Voigt’s illustrations that sparkle, shine and blaze in the heart of the forest. It’s gentle and reassuring.

I could not miss this book carried by this tender duo of heroes that we had met in the wonderful story “The Light in the Night”. It’s a bit like meeting old friends. Over the pages, we let ourselves be carried away by the magical spirit of this special season. Everything is soft, warm, bright, radiant. It is a book that celebrates the reunion of hearts and minds. The time of dreams and possibilities. Each step of our two friends is an invitation to believe in the extraordinary, to immerse yourself in an atmosphere where friendship, sharing and generosity coexist harmoniously. And… all this makes it an absolutely magical reading.

Christmas favourite – A book of incredible beauty. Visually on the one hand. In values on the other hand. Sharing and mutual aid are at the heart of this Christmas book that will warm the hearts of all its readers … a bright and poetic adventure. A wonder of this Christmas and a huge family favourite that made us want to discover the first volume “The Light in the Night”.

Book Summary

Cosmo doesn’t like the dark winter-time, especially when he’s all alone in his cave! Suddenly, Betty appears on his doorstep and tells him of an enchanted Christmas tree, on top of which the brightest star of all is supposed to sparkle. The two embark on a magical journey through the snow-covered wood.

Who would have thought there are so many wonderful things to discover and experience in the winter? And that together we can make even the darkest winter-night twinkle?
